Prelado's support provides La Purisima Mission State Historic Park with money for enrichment programs, animal care, docent training, building repairs and many other aspects of operating this historic park. Prelado also plays an important role in keeping La Purisima Mission open to the public.
Prelado de Los Tesoros is a nonprofit organization of volunteers and supporters that partners with California State Parks for the betterment and preservation of La PurÃsima Mission located in Lompoc, CA.
Volunteer Prelado members work with the Parks staff to enhance the mission, a living history museum, for the many visitors and students who enjoy the mission year-round. Supporting members of Prelado provide financial assistance through a variety of donation opportunities.
Mission Statement:
The primary function of Prelado is to raise funds to enhance, preserve and protect all aspects of the mission.
The funds raised provide care and food for the many animals who bring life to the mission.
-materials for the enrichment of the thousands of school children who visit and enjoy the living history celebrated at the mission.
-materials and equipment for live and virtual outreach programs that are taken into classrooms in the area.
-additional training for State Park Volunteers to enhance the school and visitor events and programs.
financing of improvements and capital preservation at the mission.
