A Community Restaurant and English school
Description:
Will you stand with Haiti?
Haiti is one of the Caribbean countries. It is very close to the State of Florida. By plane, it is one hour and a half from Miami International airport.
However, this country is a victim of three significant problems:
1. A chronic political crisis.2. A natural disaster occurring every year 3. A French language is used in the education system.
The political instability is a result of Haiti's Constitution which creates corruption and division.
And now, there is a fat chance that the government, politicians, and the population will work together to make a new Constitution which is currently in process.
To make that happen, every single Haitian citizen must encourage the vote for the referendum.
The natural disaster issue makes it so difficult for the country to create sustainable living conditions. Every time there is a hurricane, it produces a flood, and the communities become more vulnerable.
In addition to that, most of the country's vulnerable communities face environmental risks, have limited access to clean water and sanitation.
According to a report, six Million Haitians have long suffered food insecurity. We believe that this country needs a lot of hands to make a change.
The French language, spoken by a few percent of the population, is a big issue in the education system because it blocks the freedom of thinking and speech. One hundred percent of the young population uses Haitian Creole to interact —as it is their native or mother language. However, the system makes it mandatory for them to study French, or they do not even speak, understand French!
Also, the French language is geographically poor in terms of trades and opportunities for the Haitian population to emerge.
Due to all those issues, the Missionary Ministry of One Family (MIMOFAM) is taking the first step in supporting this country.
The US committee team of the Ministry is currently assisting a community located in the South of Haiti. This area is an isolated mountainous zone whose population is crying out for help.
We have two upcoming projects, which consist of opening a community restaurant and an English/computer education school in that area named "Kay Antwan."
The community of Kay Antwann is already excited by the fact that there are people in the US, Canada, and other countries who are thinking about them and working to change their living conditions.
We believe, as One Family, we can create a world full of love for those people. So, that is why MIMOFAM is asking you for your prayers and supports.
We are so appreciative for sharing your blessings with us so, together we can bless and support the people living in the “Kay Antwann community.”
Thank you,MIMOFAM's team
