If you feel inclined to help us become parents, this page is set to collect donations for the costs of adoption. Instead of just collecting money, we wanted to come up with a creative way to remember everyone who helped us to make our dreams come true. We have purchased a puzzle that holds 1,000 pieces. If you would like to donate, you can purchase a single puzzle piece for $10 or if you would want, you can purchase multiple pieces! Our plan is to then write the names of our contributors on the pieces of the puzzle that were purchased. This way we will always have the memory of those who were willing to help us, however big or small. Once we put the puzzle together, we are going to hang it up in the nursery for the baby. Our goal is to show that little by little, we can reach our goal of having every piece of the 1,000 piece puzzle purchased by January 1st, 2015. We have currently had over 700 pieces bought thanks to all of those who have such giving hearts! Our hope is to have the remaining 300 pieces purchased before the end of the year. Our total fundraising goal is $20,000 and our hope is to reach this amount before a baby is placed with us. We are currently in the awaiting families book so a baby could now be placed with us at anytime! Any help would be so very much appreciated!

I don't know how to respond to your email privately as I'm new to continuetogive.com so are you willing to write to this email address lobby@forgottenmothersuk. org.uk so I can explain privately my reasons better why I don't agree with adopting a baby when that baby has a family that can do the raising? If you do you will get a better understand as to why I disagree with adopting newborns. If the baby is at risk then of course the baby should be taken into a safe environment. Nor am I anti adoption when it is being used as a social service for children in foster care. I do believe that you have a calling to adopt as God - yes I am a Christian - wants us to help each other, and, look after widows and orphans. I just don't get it why it has to be a new born and have an open adoption. If you were adopting a baby who was an orphan or taken from bad parents then I could. Btw I do have relatives who adopted, have friends that are adopters (from foster care and newborns), have friends who are adoptees (domestic and international) and know mothers who have surrendered because they truly wanted - in one case for her daughter's safety as her ex (daughter's father) is a violent thug so she was scared for her daughter's safety. It is an open adoption thankfully. I also know many mothers who been coerced / forced to surrendered their babies as I was too. I found out 23 years too late that my son's adoption is illegal to top it all. Sadly coerced / forced adoption is still going on in the USA. Infant adoption is rare in the UK and only 60 babies were adopted in 2012 as mothers know their rights. The downside is forced (illegal) adoption is rising in the UK. I know it comes across badly leaving a message and as 'attacking' but it isn't meant like that, I simply want to educate you on the realities of adoption from adoptees and mothers POV. I would like to get to know you as I do believe you are decent people so hope you will email me.
